Charles visits The Ashmanhaugh Light Railway

Charles our Mamod traction engine visited The Ashmanhaugh Light Railway-a 7 1/4inch gauge railway near Wroxham today (27/06/09). The loco was steamed up twice, and will probably visit again later in the summer. The Ashmanhaugh Light Railway is were I go most Saturdays to play with slightly larger trains... We have open days once a month and we now have about half a mile of track! more info can be found on the website: http://www.ashmanhaughlightrailway.co.uk/

Above: Charles is dwarfed by Lucille and Thundarbox
Amongst the locos at the ALR is this supurb Shay loco built from scratch, seen here having one of its first runs around the railway.
